Believe it or not, I booked myself a proton exora. I’ve been looking for a bigger car to transport my growing family. Yep I’ve three boys now. Muhammad Qaid, Muhammad Rizq and Muhammad Haziq. I’ve been a fan of Paul Tan’s raves and rants of the motor industry, and has always been on the lookout for the Proton Exora MPV news that Paul puts on his website since it was leaked that Proton were on a new project of designing their own MPV (early last year…. i guess). Now, a year later…… I went on to the Proton Edar and booked myself a proton exora on the very first day the bookings were opened. But Paul Tan, the lucky devil was invited by proton to test drive the MPV. He gave his very sincere comments about the MPV. I too had doubt about the engine capacity…. whether it is powerful enough….. with that big body and seven seats. I have a few photos of the MPV during its tests run on the MRR2 recently, I quickly took out my handphone and snapped away. Well, it breezed quickly passed me and I really had to put an effort to catch up with them. Well according to Paul, the MPV really had to struggle from still but when it is already on the move…. there is power…. ahaaa…. Thank God. And thanks paul for his input. Well the MPV does not have a good pickup, so what….. Its an MPV for god sakes….. but at least its got the cruising speed… Thank God! I can finally sleep peacefully.
Man vs Wild or truth vs lies?

Last night after dinner, sat in front of the TV with my sisters, in-laws and parents. We happened to watch Man vs Wild. Its been one of my favorite shows on discovery channel. I have been impressed with this man’s ‘Bear Grylls‘ ability to survive the wild. I truly respect this former British commando or special service army guy’s ability in the wild be it in some treacherous hot uninhabited desert or extremely cold icy north pole like weather or even small uninhabited tiny dot of island in the middle of nowhere.
His blogsite has photos of his survival quest from his tv show Man vs Wild. This discovery channel show, shows Bear Grylls being dropped of by helicopter in to some of the most deserted locations on earth (really?? or just some small village folks backyard in Sumatra… hahahah) and, then shows Bear survive the wilderness with his snake catching and eating skills. He eats whats most aboriginal tribes in asia eats to survive. He drinks from a puddle, dripping water from a squeezed elephants dunk (sh*t) …. urgh!. I often wonder, does he really need to demonstrate it to the viewers. He could have just showed that there are really water in a fresh elephants dunk. The part, I liked best was him eating on a zebra carcass left by lions… gosh. What people will do, to get money can be more than what people will do to survive the wild??
I searched on further and read a wiki on Bear Grylls. It seems that the Man Vs Wild show is a bogus. Bear Grylls didn’t actually stayed in the wilderness during the filming. He stayed at some lodge, film crew base camp while all the viewers were duped into thinking that he slept in the harsh wilderness throughout the night. Man!! I’ve been fooled by western media, we’ve all have been. We know well enough how the westerners are fooled by CNN in believing that Palestinian babies are the terrorists of the world, and that they deserved to be bombed by the ‘Zionist’. I guess most of Discovery channels shows are the same. People will do anything to get money. Even lie the public or in George W Bush’s case lie to the whole world just to get black money (Oil).
Well in Bear Grylls case, he maybe had to lie to the viewers of his show, his fans into thinking that he had actually had to eat carcass, drink his urine and do many more stunts in order to survive the wilderness. I admit I like watching the show, but when I found out that he actually lied to the viewers, it was very disappointing. Does he actually need to lie to his fans. Or was he forced by the producers. What was his or the producers intentions? Only God knows. By the way, the show is entertaining despite the bogus. Good luck Bear.

Am I for real

Im actually at my home town in Melaka, my parents home. About to go to sleep but just cant seem to get to. My lil sis internet wireless access is on, so I decided going through the web. First my facebook page sofiyan’s facebook , got a new friend request from kak yush my older sis’s college mate. Haven’t heard of her for quite some time, she managed to find my facebook. After that I spent some time reading simedarbywatch . This site apparently is blocked for access at my workplace, which I dont really understand why. So me and most of my friends at work use our time after work or during the weekends to read the blog. While I do read the blog, I dont totally agree or support the blogsite. But I agree, that the blog does a good job in keeping a close watch on what the top management of simedarby is doing or are trying to do. The blog site also informs the public about the what and where sime darby is heading towards to. I give great credits to Din for doing a good job. While Im real curious where he gets all of his info.
Wow, I managed to get a few lines, eventhough what I have written above does not really fit the title of this post. What I meant to write was – Am I for real this time to commit myself to blog. Well …. this is a nice start actually. I have a lot in my mind, but cant really seem to sort it out which will go first and to sort it out in words that people understand and that it wont embarass me… haha
